Job Purpose

Work with a specialized team of highly skilled individuals to develop technology solutions and map business/technical requirements to systems requirements in order to ensure they are in line with the company’s architectural plan.

Responsible for  implementation and ensuring the security and performance of the company’s software. This is an opportunity to transform service delivery to customers by building the best in class technology in Nigeria’s  leading technology solutions organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading the practice and introduce the overall technical vision for our solutions 
  • Build, integrate and define features, phases, and solution requirements to meet Descasio’s needs 
  • Identify the best technical solution to solve existing business problems. 
  • Oversee development stages; refine the process, identify areas for improvement, and support the sprint  
  • Assess the systems architecture currently in place and recommend solutions on how best to improve  
  • Resolve technical problems as they arise. 
  • Provide supervision and guidance to development teams. 
  • Keep stakeholders informed on the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software and technical solutions being implemented; also provide updates on product development processes, costs and budgets. 
  • Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies and propose changes where necessary. 
  • Assess business impact of certain technical choices and documenting your analysis and requirements

Functional Competencies:

  • Experience in cloud technologies including Azure, AWS and/or GCP. 
  • Experience in a technical support role covering enterprise software products. 
  • Experience troubleshooting system and network administration issues for both Windows and Linux 
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting languages. 
  • Ability to read and understand code. 
  • Quick learner: While you may not be an expert in all things Cloud, you are curious and can learn quickly. 
  • Efficient Problem Solver: You are an expert at leveraging solutions discovered by others and applying them to current problems. 
  • Meticulous: You consider all implications before activating/deactivating certain features and services. 
  • Good communicator: Ability to communicate confidently with tech-savvy customers as well as non-technical audiences in fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud deployment, systems administration, technical support or in a similar role.

Certifications/Training

  • Possess any of the following certifications – Microsoft Azure Administrator, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Associate Cloud Engineer
